YouTube videos show up in organic search results across all search engines, which is one reason we encourage our clients to optimize their YouTube channels. Aside from YouTube itself being the 2nd largest search engine next to Google (bigger than Bing, Yahoo, Ask and AOL combined), its videos have life outside of the channel, if optimized correctly.

Is Google testing new branded video advertising in paid search results? Sure seems that way. Something we will keep an eye on, this could be a paid search game changer for brands.

Fun fact: Did you know that YouTube was founded by three former PayPal employees in 2005? Google bought the platform in 2006 for $1.65 Billion!!
