Position Description

The Strategic Insights Manager will work closely with senior team members and clients to conduct deep secondary research, design and execute primary market research, develop impactful fact-based insights and contribute to game-changing strategic recommendations for our clients. This position is part of a growing focus for the agency and therefore offers opportunities for continued growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Identify and synthesize insights that inform key business decisions for Interrupt’s industry leading clients
  • Review, analyze, synthesize, summarize client-provided data, reports and presentations
  • Participate in all aspects of qualitative research including; scoping, planning, discussion guides, scheduling and conducting interviews, transcript analysis, insights development and reporting
  • Participate in all aspects of quantitative research including; scoping, planning, survey development, fielding, insights development and reporting
  • Work with other internal stakeholders to define process, approach and timelines to achieve discovery and insights objectives on Strategy projects
  • Collaborate with Director of Strategic Insights to translate research findings into clear and actionable recommendations through compelling analysis, storytelling, and presentations to different cross-functional teams and leadership
  • Coordinate and manage third-party partners and contractors
  • Collaborate closely with Interrupt colleagues working in different functional areas
  • Maintain visibility of “the big picture” while working at ground level
  • Find answers to hard questions, driven by relentless curiosity
  • Proficiency in syndicated and secondary data sources and research
  • Work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work across a range of client projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in market research, marketing, brand or product management, or strategy consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Understanding of market research fundamentals is key
  • Proven track record of framing ambiguous problems and creatively leveraging different types of custom and syndicated research
  • Experience across qualitative and quantitative methods that inform product and brand strategy
  • Demonstrates proficiency in data analysis
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with ability to dynamically present findings to clients
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within our culture and a team environment is essential
  • Team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence
  • Experience with the building material/home improvement industry is a plus
  • Beyond data collection, strength in uncovering actionable strategic insights

  • Travel to client or offsite meetings and conferences when necessary (less than 20% of time)

It is preferred that this position work full time in Sylvania, Ohio; Remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates
