Position Description:

The Director of Digital & Social Media will take a leadership role to continually evolve Interrupt’s digital acumen, structure and team – all to ensure we provide strategic value that leads our clients’ thinking and drives measurable business results around digital platforms. The Director will partner with Interrupt’s internal team members, and interact directly with our clients’ senior level executives and business leaders. The primary responsibilities focus on developing and creating unique digital strategies for Interrupt and our clients. Example digital projects include; planning and facilitating a digital UX session, developing a digital activation plans, planning and buying digital media and implementing social engagement strategies.

Accountabilities:

  • Build and manage relationships at all levels throughout the clients’ organizations. The Director must be creative in their approach to organizing and presenting findings.
  • Collaborate with creative team and account leads on brand strategies and provide deep insights into digital channels (web, social, e-mail)
  • Develop, scope and lead digital projects in conjunction with the Interrupt team and other suppliers (ie; developers).
  • Contribute to and shape overall digital process, provide ongoing enhancements and train/guide the entire Interrupt team.
  • Ability to lead your process and make key decisions on behalf of the company on your own
  • Structure and lead strategy and cross-functional teams to deliver digital projects on time and in budget
  • Infuse digital into our client’s overall go-to-market activation plans
  • Manages multiple key digital projects and initiatives simultaneously including project management and strategic direction
  • Ability to deliver strong insights from the digital process and advise clients on marketing decisions from these insights, along with providing creative and impactful digital marketing solutions
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive process binder and contingency process -- outlining your accountable process, backup resources identified and trained, passwords, detailed process steps -- to enable others to step in and easily manage your process if you are unable
  • Synthesizes team's work to create deliverables, including reports, spreadsheets, presentations, dashboards and other outputs to document and communicate findings
  • Collaborates with and presents recommendations to senior-level client stakeholders
  • Takes on group development responsibilities and organizational leadership including coaching team members, managing reports, best practices and building a strong digital community/culture
  • Manages Operations and Administration on social media internet programs and applications
  • Support the company’s overall mission and follow all standards, policies, procedures and confidentiality guidelines
  • Travel to client or offsite meetings is required (approx. 10%), ability to navigate is required

Requirements:

  • Practical experience in digital strategy and analytical areas of study
  • 8+ years’ experience in digital strategy
  • Ability to work within our culture and a team environment is essential
  • Team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience with the building material/home improvement industry is an asset
  • Ability to travel as necessary (approx. 10-25%)
  • It is preferred that this position work full time in Sylvania, Ohio; Remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates
